Dieses keramische Pulver ist in 41 Größenvariationen von 2 bis 1000 Mikrometern erhältlich, wobei die Kugelform im Vergleich zu kantigen Pulvern Vorteile beim Pulverfluss und der Packungsdichte bietet. Sphärisches Aluminiumoxidpulver wird in vielen Bereichen eingesetzt, u. a. als Schleifmittel für die Oberflächenbearbeitung und das Polieren, als Füllstoff zur Verbesserung der mechanischen und dielektrischen Eigenschaften von Verbundwerkstoffen und als Rohmaterial für hochentwickelte keramische Komponenten.
